This means I now have 26 years of experience with Delphi, and I still feel like a n00b around parts of it.

Same n00b feeling here. Started with UCSD Pascal at the university and had Turbo Pascal on my Z80 in the 80s.

Me too, @luebbe. My first Pascal was Compas Pascal on Z80 - which transmogrified into Turbo Pascal for DOS and CP/M.

... wow, I also know that old DOS - blue background Turbo Pascal .. crazy. It feels like i worked with it "last year" ... so it feels like only 1-2 years of experience 😉

I'm pretty sure that a friend of mine had alice pascal on the atari.
Still got my Apple //e with the Z80 card. I wonder, if the CP/M disks still boot. Maybe they do, but I don't have a monitor for the Apple anymore.
