Multiple instances of the D11 IDE question.

Hi everyone, 

 

I usually have 2 projects open at the same time using 2 versions of Delphi.  I am moving from Delphi 10.2/10.3 to D11 and was wondering if having 2 or more instances of D11 is stable or if I should run 10.4 as well?

I have two project groups that i have been aiming to "merge" for some time now.

I was a bit anxious when i did it the first couple of times, but now i am running one project group in one instance of D11.

D11 has some peculiarities, to be diplomatic, but i have not identified any extra hazzles when doing this.

Do not that i have only done this on a cloud machine over RDP. That machine do not lack resources.

That means that if you run the full graphic-card-monty on a machine with limited resources, my experience would not be valid.

I do not do very much client side intricate painting, in this setup as you might realize.
