    GExperts for C++ Builder

    Sorry for the vague description. Here's the situation: PC is on Windows 10 with the latest updates The old version (still installed and working properly) is Embarcadero® C++Builder 10.4 Version 27.0.37889.9797 with GExperts v1.3.16 build 86 experimental The new version, installed today, is Embarcadero® C++Builder 12 Version 29.0.55362.2017 with Delphi 12 and C++ Builder Update 3 with GExperts v1.2.25 build 4508. The behaviour is the same with the GExperts_RS12_1.3.25_2024-08-24.exe and the file you linked in the previous post. I'm beginning to realise that the problem is in the IDE itself and not GExperts related. One issue is that the 64-bit version of the IDE sometimes fails with In fact I am not able to launch the IDE. [EDIT: In fact just now the IDE started. And now it fails again... Apparently randomly...] With the 32-bit IDE there's a funny thing. Every second time I run it I get this error: I can close the dialog, run IDE again and it launches...?! And this is with or without GExperts. So, launching the IDE requires: launch, close dialogue and launch again 🙂 Apparently I ran IDE once, closed it, installed GExperts and got the dialogue and, instead of investigating further, assumed that the problem was with GExperts. And I just wanted to let you know that there is a problem the first time I run 32-bit IDE with GExperts (with both versions). In the order of appearance: But subsequent launches are OK if I choose "Ignore" on the first dialogue. Thanks for the effort in maintaining and developing GExperts (heading off to PayPal). [ADDED]: In case anyone else has similar problems: apparently there's some conflict between the 64- and 32-bit versions. As soon as I removed the 64-bit version of the IDE, the 32-bit version started working perfectly.

    GExperts for C++ Builder

    Hello, I've been a happy user of GExperts for decades now - the global search is worth its weight in gold. Unfortunately, we've had to upgrade our C++ IDE to version 12.3 for various reasons. I've tried installing the GExperts_RS12_1.3.25_2024-08-24.exe but the IDE fails to start. Is there a chance that GExperts will be ported to that IDE? Cheers, Jan
