Possible LME288 link error Fix for 10.1 Berlin

I just had to make a minor change to an old project and ran into the LME288 linker error.  After trying several fixes with little luck (one let me build the code once and then the error came back).  Then I found the free C++ compiler 10.2.3 Tokyo  download and copied the ilink32.exe file from that download into my C++ Builder 10.1 Berlin install and now it seems to be working fine. 

 

My question is will I run it to other problems down the road or is this a good fix?
