LSVGDOM := TSkSVGDOM.MakeFromFile(AssetsPath + 'knight.svg'); knight.svg was missing. Arrrrg!
It would be interesting to create a Canvas -> PDF output under Win32. The question arises as to whether the necessary VCL Canvas APIs are all supported.

Skia4Delphi_VCL.dproj->Documents->CreatePDF produces an exception. Does anyone else have this error?

Delphi is quite good when you need to write programs quickly. Delphi has a weak point, that is the integer and float performance. It just can't keep up with C++. A customer had problems here. We then wrote the geometry library in MS C++ and integrated the obj files in Delphi. This doesn't work everywhere, but it does for pure function calls.

All the newer versions cause so many problems. I've spent weeks and months of my life looking for errors in the installtion. I'm using Delphi 7 now. It always works. The license has never caused any problems.
-
Thank you very much. Why doesn't the installer do this?
-
You're in hell if you install a Delphi more than once. Tons of registry entries and file fragments are left on the PC, confusing the installer. The strangest error messages are appear. Never install a trial or CE on the productive PC. You can never get rid of it. Unless you do a Windows reinstall.

I found this:
So you can see if renaming them back (after making a copy) will work.
Bingo, that's it. An admin has changed all computer names. I put it back. It works now. Many thanks!

The registered license is suddenly treated as unregistered. Supposedly it was registered 3 times. I registered it twice (PC+notebook).
You must first register before using the serial number. Click "Register..." to activate the following serial number:

Title: Delphi 10.2 Tokyo Starter Named User Promo Edition License

Under C:\ProgramData\Embarcadero\.licenses I found the file --> .cgb_license.corrupted

You called them?
Did you look on your registered products page yet?
https://my.embarcadero.com/#registeredProduct
Yes.
I only see that it was registered in 2017.

The support says my license has expired and renewal is not possible at this time. I have to go back to Delphi 7 now.

I also have Tokyo on a laptop that I haven't done anything on for months. Tokio Starter doesn't start there anymore either. The license has been revoked.

It seems, Emba has withdrawn all Starter Licences on all PCs without notice.

How long does a Delphi Starter Tokyo license last? I don't mean the Community Edition, but the previous Starter Editions.

I don't know what kind of problems people always have. If Window 11 doesn't work, just don't take it. Delphi 11 will probably not be compatible then either. Case done. Just don't take it. Still using Delphi 10 and waiting 2 years for all problems to be resolved.

That is correct. But also the spirit.

As a Turbo Pascal user from the first hour, I am still following the development of Delphi with interest. I got out with Delphi XE and am amazed to find that people are still struggling with the same problems as they were 30+ years ago. Problems that also occur at other companies, but are completely fixed after a few weeks. Nothing gets better at "Borland".

I didn't really expect this to work in 10.4 now.

I don't understand the license yet. Do I need a FastMM5 license ($ 99) for every program I sell?
Skia4Delphi_VCL sample project raises an exception

You can do that now. You just need to overwrite the base class TCustomCanvas with your own methods. I would like a powerful PDF writer that also supports all Win-GDI writing modes.
