I have a JSON object that has two arrays. How can I retrieve the name of the array before I loop through all of the roes / elements? I am not sure if this is called an array name or a key.

I am using Delphi 10.1 Berlin to call a Postgresql (9.5.x) function with parameters. When I call ExecFunc I receive an argument out of range exception. The function parameters are defined as numeric and text for other parameters. At one point this function worked fine. Without changing the value of the data I begin to receive this exception. the parameters in the delphi code is stated as ftFmtBCD and ftwidememo. Looking for information that helps resolve this problem. FI: I am using a fdstoredproc and have assigned the schema and catalog name.

I have a datasnap server that is not a restful server. I connect to it with my delphi client and pass data via clientdatasets and other methods that I have created along the way. I have created many methods passing integers and strings. The question I have is how can I pass the JSONObject to a datasnap server as a parameter? If this is not an option then please advise on the best way to do this.

Answered. I discovered that this is possible from reading the Delphi Wiki.

If I create a TJSONObject in a client application and pass it as a parameter to a DataSnap server where is the object freed. Is it freed in the datasnap client or the DataSnap server. I would say the client after passing because the client and server might share totally different memory.. Can somebody share some insight on this issue.

What data types can I pass from a delphi client to a datasnap server? I need to send an array of a specific type to my datasnap server. Can I also return an array?

I want to start working with GPS systems. Its a new environment for me and I am running into things some have nothing to do with maps and other issues do. I want to understand rendering maps from provided coordinates onto a VCL form. Do I use a twebbrowser or is there a control that can be provided coordinates that will render the map? Do I have to acquire a mapcontrol from a 3rd party? I want to use google or here for map technology. I noticed that one vendor had a request that included a curl command. Anders, Yes I am wanting to take the next step and understand executing the curl request within delphi and taking the next steps. I am sure that I want to use here, but they mention executing thic curl statement and then there is some other operation to take next with the results. Some of the other answers are great pieces to solving this problem, but my next steps will be following the curl part of the next step. Then they follow this with Decode the tile using the related Protobuf schema. I will have to discover what the protobuf schema means.

Remy that will work. The application will read xml and get a variable or property name. If variable or property exists we will take certain actions depending on its value.
