I'm pleased to say that Embarcadero have added LaunchGen to GetIt for Delphi 10.4 and 11.

New version of Launch Gen available. The sampling filter can now be changed. It defaults to Mitchell.

The images I previously provide were generated with just 256 colors. These are generated using true color the first one is the iPhone_Spotlight80, the last one is the Android_Notification24.

With so few pixels there is not much that can be done but I will look into providing alternative sampling algorithms.

The Windows Icon file is created with image sizes of 16x16, 24 x 24, ,32x32, ,48x48 ,64x64,72x72, 96x96, 128x128, 256x256 and 512x512 pixels as well as creating the UWP 44x44 and 150x150 logo images.

All images are resized using the Mitchell filter which I find to be the best for most icons. I could make the choice of filter to user definable.

It works equally well with VCL.

I should add, in case there is any confusion, that LaunchGen is not a generic application for editing/resizing images. It specifically generates Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows icons/splashimages required for Delphi FMX projects,

The smallest size required to be generated is the iPhone_Spotlight29 but it also really depends a lot on the quality of the initial image used.

Launch Gen resamples the images so that the small ones still look good. These are generated from a 1024x1024 image:

It uses several commercial libraries (DevEx, UniDAC, ImageEn, TMS) so was not intending to provide source.

Ok. One thing I haven't done yet is to put in the backing up of the project file before altering it. I'll do this before uploading a link. It generates all icons/launch images (there can be a different launch image) but it uses specific  image names and is only suitable for Delphi 10 and above. I have been using it myself for a couple of years.

Does anyone know if there is an application available to generate all iOS, Android, etc. images from a single image and also update the project file.

I ask because I have written one and am considering making it freely available.

Didn't work I'm afraid. Delphi just closes with no message at all.

I do have EurekaLog IDE Expert installed but it is set to not catch IDE errors.

I guess I'll have to stop using it too but more than 30 years of ingrained habit to overcome!

This happens when selecting some code and right-mouse clicking on it to invoke the menu or when doing so and clicking on the main search menu. This only seems to happen in very large projects. Also happens in Delphi 11. Has anyone else experienced this or knows a work around as it is driving me crazy?

Re iOS, macOS and Android. Beta versions of these are always available many months before they are made live which should give Embarcadero time to release an update. Instead of that, we are always behind and many times in the past are left unable to even upload to the platforms app stores.
