Today I'm getting crazy with Delphi Refactor > Rename Field (CTRL + SHIFT + E). Also starting a new IDE with a dummy project of only one variable the rename field get me the error: I don't know because message is in Italian language, but refactor is completly unusable. It notice that interface {B53A87B3-C809-4390-9BE2-6F1C168CF41D} is not registered. Athens 12.2 Patch 2. Any idea about that ?

I alternate with a colleague of mine in development with Athens on the same PC. As soon as Athens 12.1 patch 1 came out, I installed it using the manual procedure. Yesterday my colleague continued working on the same PC, and not knowing that I had already installed the patch manually, he also applied it with Get It, as he saw it in the list of possible updates. Now I find myself with two ways of installing the same patch and I wonder if this may lead to problems in the proper functioning of the environment. I would like to avoid re-installing the whole package and the 20 or so third-party libraries we use from scratch. Any idea whether we have "broken" the toy ?

After Athens patch 1, using GetIt, the compiled programs, in IDE, do not run and notice missing of a DLL: Do you have any info about how to fix it? The message message does not say what to reinstall 🙂

Hi all. I'm trying to use Skia TSkPaintBox on Athens VCL application. I've enabled Skia in the project. I can use TSkLabel. I can place a TSkPaintBox. And run... But if I try to create the TSkPaintBox Draw event I get this error: [dcc64 Error] Unit1.pas(13): E2003 Undeclared identifier: 'TRectF' [dcc64 Error] Unit1.pas(27): E2005 'TRectF' is not a type identifier [dcc64 Fatal Error] Project1.dpr(5): F2063 Could not compile used unit 'Unit1.pas' Thank you in advance for your answers. Installing the wrong Delphi version on new tablet - RESOLVED
JohnLM posted a topic in Delphi IDE and APIs
Hi, I just realized that I am installing the wrong Delphi version on a new tablet. Embarcadero was quick to supply me a registration bump (from 2 to 3) and I was able to begin the installation of Delphi 12.., or so I thought. However, I grabbed the wrong .iso file folder "RADStudio_11_2_10937a" and began installing it. It should have been the "RADStudio_12_0_4915718.iso" file. Being so used to the Rad Studio 11 logo, I over looked it--twice! I am currently at the "specify location" dialog. Is it too late for me to stop and cancel the install and restart but with the "RADStudio_12_0_4915718.iso" file?- 9 replies
