TigerLilly 20 Posted November 3 I can´t get the clipborad history to stay visible. At some time, the (docked) window disappears and can not be shown again. Closing the IDE, displaying the window and docking again then works for some time, until the window disapperas again. Any idea what´s going on? Tx! Share this post Link to post
dummzeuch 1764 Posted November 3 No idea, sorry. I am not even using the GExperts clipboard history myself because the IDE has had the same functionality for a while, and I'm rarely using that one either. Has that problem started to occur only recently? Which Delphi version (10.2 ?). Share this post Link to post
TigerLilly 20 Posted November 3 The IDE has the same functionality? *shock* Did I really miss that? Where? How? I think the vanishing window has to do with being docked. And I had this problem for a while now. Share this post Link to post

View -> Tool Windows -> Clipboard History I'm not sure when it was added. Delphi 10.2 has it, Delphi 2007 doesn't. I can't check the versions in between, because they are not installed on my laptop. Does trying to open it again do anyting (e.g. the focus goes somewhere else, maybe to a window outside the visible screen area?) Could you please install the Delphi IDE explorer and have a look whether the window is still there and what it's top, left and visible properties are, when it vanishes? Share this post Link to post
TigerLilly 20 Posted November 4 Docking the clipboard window + either reselecting or switching to another desktop and back triggers this. Depending on where the window is docked (right side, left side of the IDE, bottom), the area goes blank or vaishes completely. When the expert is called via the menu again, either it is correctly redisplayed or the window stays blank, depending on where docked. This is true for all variations, I tried by now: docking as one window alone (eg upper half), docking as first window, docking as last window. See the screenshots attached: initial is the state after having the window docked. reselct is the stat eafter selecting another desktop and having switched back to the initial desktop. BTW: Just reselecting the desktop does nbot change properties nor parents, but the window goes blank anyway. 1 Share this post Link to post
