notifications query question

I have updated my settings to disable notifications, yet I keep getting the dialog where I am invited to accept notifications, whenever I come to the site. It becomes annoying.

On  further experimentation, I see that the behavior is specific to Firefox, and does not happen on Chrome. Perhaps is it an effect of privacy settings?
