GExperts is causing a problem when debugging

It has been happening to me, however I had not reported it as yet. I had also planned to attempt to debug the issue - perhaps Thomas can?

No, I can't. I don't have any apple hardware to run any tests. See my comment to the ticket:

That GExperts shows up in the call stack does not mean that it is causing it. If it's reproducible, just disable GExperts and see whether the problem goes away.
If this does help and you are using a self compiled GExperts dll from the recent sources, disable the (still very experimental) "Filter Exceptions expert and see whether that makes a difference.
Note that this feature has not been tested with anything but Win32 and Win64 projects.
