From Interbase To Firebird

I have an Interbase 2007 database and i'd like to move to Firebird 3,0

Is there any to Database Management Tool that can transfer ALL metadata & datas

from IB to Firebird w/o any headache ?

Hi,

In the old days a simple backup (transportable format) from Interbase, and restore in Firebird works, but I don't know if this solution works now.

Since the IB version has some mileage, i would definately try to make a gbak backup (transportable) and try to restore it in FB 3.0.

Otherwise i suspect som isql scripting for the metadata and some home-made transfer app.

IBExpert or same FireDAC

Connect IB 

Connect Firebird

just commands to "create" new structure on FB if not exist

now do the SELECT  on IB and UPDATE to FB

or use generate a script w IB data and update FB table

if have a IBExpert Pro many others ways

Agreed, IBExpert have a lot of nifty tools built-in. But the price man! No "single dev" licence, one per machine 😞

How about metadata (access rights) , triggers etc?

you can export all metadata and/or records using "Extract" to script for example... see on menu

I'd extract metadata as SQL and try to create DB from it, then use DataPump to transfer data
