PenelopeSkye 1 Posted October 27, 2022 I have inherited a data unit with hundreds of objects and I can't find what I am looking for. Is there any way to search for the object I am looking for? Thanks! Please let me know the correct way to refer to this file and I will update the title. There has got to be a better way than 'data unit' or 'unit with db objects'! Thanks! 1 1 Share this post Link to post
Sherlock 663 Posted October 27, 2022 It's called a data module. And you can search its dfm file like any other Delphi dfm...if it is not binary, which should be default. Share this post Link to post
Brian Evans 105 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) You can right click a clear area and select "View as Text" and search there (to switch back right click and "View as Form"). The Object TreeView / Structure panel (title depends on Delphi version) visible usually to the left of the form when viewing as a form can be used to select a component when you know it's name and what it is connected to going up the tree.
