Hello, I have been using XE5 for many years, it has outlasted 3 machines. For the last two times I've simply reinstalled successfully, but this 3rd time I've come up against the install limit error, the registration failed. Is there a way that I can reset the active instance count given the situation, I accept that that request may be met with some scepticism. I can't think of any way to objectively demonstrate that there are no other instances in existence.

Apologies in advance for this being probably OT. I am trying to register an installation of C++ builder XE-5 that I have just reinstalled following a machine failure. My credentials for these forums were many years old, and my email address has changed so I have just set up another account for this forum, it seemed the most appropriate. However, when I enter these new credentials into the XE5 license registration form it advises that they are not recognised. Having registered for this forum, are the credentials applicable for all Embarcadero forums? Forum credentials entry is required for product registration. The licence key I have is valid.

Why do I have to spend days fixing your bugs? Sorry, I am angry YES, but on every upgrade I find problems! Can you test your installation app maybe 20 or 30 times before selling it to me and others"? Hi all. For someone could be a silly question but important for me. Today I've purchased Athens, and usually I work with Sydney. I have a lot of very big projects made with Sydney and moving them to Athens will be a long path ( a lot of 3rd parties libraries to install). Can I install Athens on the same PC where Sydney works ? If YES, are there some types of attention to be kept? At the moment I've also Code Gear RAD Studio 2007 for very old projects not ported to Sydney which live without problems with Sydney.

Hello, Many years ago, I have succesfully installed Rad Studio 10.2 (Tokyo) on Windows 10 Pro. Actually this is version 22H2. Since now I could build some projects with Delphi / VCL As it seems to not work correctly anymore, I have decided to deinstall all und install again. After installation and start of Rad Studio, I get a first screen with "Plattform choice" (wich tells that there are no more Plattform to Install). How can I get rid of this? I use only 32bit + VCL. In my previous installation, I did not get this. Then the IDE is started, but there are no components available. If I select the menu "Component", there is only "Import component", no "Add package" for example. Could someone give me some help? Thanks a lot. Regards Hubert

Hi, I'm a little bit confused with Overbyte installation, I installed from get it package manager and choose the ICS FMX and VCL, but it will only install : IcsCommonD110Design IcsCommonD110Run IcsFmxD110Design IcsFmxD110Run IcsVclD110Design IcsVclD110Run But there is another packages : OverbyteIcsD110Design OverbyteIcsD110Run In which I use it previously, so what is the difference between OverbyteICS and ICS package respectively, which one should I installed? I want to install for VCL and FMX. And there is two overbyte entry in Get It Package Manager, the ICS for FMX and VCL component, and the ICS for VCL only. I haven't tried to install the later, but is there a difference between these two component package? Can anyone explain a bit about these packages, thank you. Iwan CS

I recently installed the C++ Builder 10.3 community edition on my desktop. Just as a test I decided to compile a Blank Form . It displays when you press the Run icon in the IDE. However, if I drop any control on this form, the form does not display after the Run icon is pressed. I have been using the C++ Builder for some time but never experienced anything like this. Any suggestions on resolving this would be appreciated.

Installing C++Builder Community Edition after already installed Delphi Community
Vlad from Moscow posted a topic in General Help
A month ago I installed Delphi Community 10.3. After that I decide to install C++ Builder Community. But during the process of installation but I got a message that says that I need to remove the previous installation. I saw the item "About Embarcadero Delphi" in the help menu of the current installation and saw that there is written Installed Updates: Delphi 10.3 and C++ Builder 10.3 Updates 3 SO it looks like I already have C++ Builder 10.3. But I do not know how to run it if it is already installed. That is I can run Delphi 10.3 Community Edition. But where is there C++ Builder?:)- 5 replies
