D12.3 Error when closing

This just started.  Happens when I close Delphi (With or without opening a project)

 

 

I get this error message:

Could be a 3rd party component package or expert. Start by disabling/removing the latest ones you've installed.

I haven't installed anything recently.  Last I installed anything was from Getit back at 12.0

It does not matter. Things can fail on restart and then go back to OK. It happens to me hundred of times.

I started having these as well on 12.2 and 12.3.  Don't ask me why, but when I clicked on "Close Welcome Screen When Opening a New Project" and the problem went away.

I have that checked.  Maybe unchecking it will help

I read a tip here on DelphiPraxis back in 10.x that disabling the Welcome screen altogether greatly improves stability. Since then that's the first thing I do after a Delphi installation and the IDE is rock solid since then.

You get an AV if you click on the Welcome screen settings in Options, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to live with :)
