Guest Posted November 21, 2018 True about MySQL, @Arnaud Bouchez it is, but only with a couple of IFs. Share this post Link to post
Arnaud Bouchez 407 Posted November 21, 2018 what do you mean by "a couple of IFs" ? 🙂 that it is not reliable in practice / in all cases ? (I have seen Oracle databases instances down and having crunched data so I don't expect MySQL to be more reliable) Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted November 22, 2018 @Arnaud Bouchez, ok i'm sorry but i do not have time to do research. Last time i was involved in a MySQL project we could not use the OpenSource version out-of-the box. All installations needed to be amended and added to in order to achieve ACID. Maybe they have fixed that by now. Share this post Link to post
Lars Fosdal 1792 Posted November 26, 2018 MariaDB - the fully opensource branch of MySQL (which is Oracle owned), is ACID.https://mariadb.com/resources/blog/acid-compliance-what-it-means-and-why-you-should-care/ Edit: Sorry, that was ClustrixDB, a variant for the cloud Share this post Link to post
