Ian Branch 127 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) It would be nice if the Grep Results dialog remembered its last position/size.. It would also be nice to have a Clear Results button on the dialog. Edited November 10, 2022 by Ian Branch Share this post Link to post
dummzeuch 1505 Posted November 11, 2022 It would also be nice if you posted feature requests and bug reports to SourceForge. Share this post Link to post
Ian Branch 127 Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Who'd a thought.... 😉 I thought I would air the ideas to gauge reaction before formalising them but they have been formally posted now. Edited November 11, 2022 by Ian Branch 1 Share this post Link to post
David Hoyle 68 Posted November 11, 2022 Isn't the grep results window not a first-class citizen of the IDE (dockable form) so it should be remember by the desktop layout (mine is). 1 Share this post Link to post
Ian Branch 127 Posted November 11, 2022 Whilst I am editing a project, yest it remembers. But, if I close the projects and open a new one for editing when I open Grep it opens in the upper left corner of the screen. and I have to move and resize it again. I am using win 11 64 bit, D11.2Â and 2 x 4k monitors. Â Ian Share this post Link to post
dummzeuch 1505 Posted November 12, 2022 Actually that might be due to the IDE rereading the desktop when you open a new project. Did you save the desktop after you placed the Grep Result window? Â (It works fine for me in Delphi 2007, XE2 and 10.2. I don't use Delphi 11.) Share this post Link to post
Ian Branch 127 Posted November 12, 2022 Hi Thomas, I just tried that and yes it now is larger and moved, but it opens every time I open a Project, whether I want it or not. Share this post Link to post
