Rick_Delphi 25 Posted Wednesday at 11:34 PM (edited) It's been decided, coding is dead. We need a forum here that covers generating code with AI and other tools. I know it's a source of contention among coders, but the future is now! Let's not join the party late, from being stubborn. NOTE: NVIDIA's CEO said, last year, that coding is dead. One hour ago they announced they beat on revenues and earnings. The no-coding IT world has arrived. Edited Wednesday at 11:37 PM by Rick_Delphi 1 Share this post Link to post

Ummm.. if you are worried about being left behind, why are you still here, still using Delphi? Surely you should be hanging out with all the cool kids using flavor of the week? 🤷♂️ 1 2 Share this post Link to post
Fred Ahrens 62 Posted Thursday at 08:50 AM "coding is dead" he shouted while trying to find out how to create a syntactically correct and well structured prompt for his preferred AI model. Hey, what you are doing there is still coding! 1 Share this post Link to post
dummzeuch 1578 Posted Thursday at 11:04 AM The 70% problem: Hard truths about AI-assisted coding Quote After spending the last few years embedded in AI-assisted development, I've noticed a fascinating pattern. While engineers report being dramatically more productive with AI, the actual software we use daily doesn’t seem like it’s getting noticeably better. What's going on here? Lars Fosdal 1822 Posted Thursday at 12:19 PM I don't think we need such a forum yet. The AI would be external to Delphi even when an AI assist tool integrates in the IDE. The problems with incorrect AI generated code should be raised on the forums of the relevant AI producer. Share this post Link to post
Rick_Delphi 25 Posted Thursday at 02:15 PM OK, well it's the OOP vs Functional battle all over again. Anyway ... I just thought I would ask. It's certainly time for Delphi to get back to it's roots and forge a path of low-code/no-code into the future. Share this post Link to post
