Cannot download MMX. Virus detected

Recommended Posts

There have been more than 500 downloads since the webinar yesterday and this is the first complaint. 🤔

I had to turn Real Time Protection (Windows security setting) off to download the file.  Then as soon as I turned it back on, the anti-virus detected Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml and immediately deleted the file.

For info:

I downloaded  MMX_Setup_16_0_8_59.zip without issue. I then installed it, without issue.

Running Windows 10 using Windows Defender Security intelligence version 1.435.704.0 released 11th Sep 13:31, currently the latest update available for my OS.

I am using the standard Windows Defender.

Same here. I think I had to click "more" then "keep".

The DLLs are signed and MMX_Setup.exe is also signed. What else can I do? 😭

Seems to be related to innosetup. I am getting the same (Wacatac.B!ml) for an completely unrelated innosetup installer I just created. It also happens in one machine, but not in another one:

Virustotal shows the file as clean, and also the exes inside the setup.exe have no issues. Only the innosetup wrapper shows the error
