I've just switch to 12.1 too (from 11.3). 

 

For me no longer works the block selection mode: combination CTRL+O+C doesn't work properly.

I found a solution now by setting this registry key. I have multiple Delphi installs on this computer and I guess there have been a mixup of settings.

I also have several Delphi versions on my system, but each if them has only one and an appropriate evaluator in that registry key.

This is a big issue for me because Ctrl + F7 is my main debugging tool and I've been using that shortcut since the Turbo Pascal days.

 

 

Works for me without problems (Win32 project with debug build, halted on a breakpoint). But dcc32270.dll does not belong to Delphi 12.1, that uses dcc32290.dll. 270 would be Delphi 10.3 if memory serves.

Check the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Embarcadero\BDS\23.0\Debugging\Embarcadero Debuggers\Evaluators, that names the defaullt debug evaluator.

Looks like registry keys from old releases came along for the ride for some users.

For me, the update has been messy. I have Raize components in the palette, but GetIt says they aren't installed. And if I try to install it throws an exception saying that old files are in use and can't be deleted.

And help doesn't work. It tries to go to urls that don't exist like https://docwiki.embarcadero.com/CodeExamples/Updates/en/MessageDlgConfirmation_(Delphi)

I am getting "Disconnected Session" all the time whilst working on a 64-bit project.  Never had this problem in 12.0.

With Delphi 12.1, this error has reappeared quite annoyingly... With Delphi 11.3, I had practically forgotten about it (it never happened to me). Obviously, the error is completely random and disappears when closing and reopening the IDE. But is there no way to get more information from the compiler about the error to understand if it's possible to do something to prevent it? However, it always occurs in the context of a global recompilation of a project group that contains both runtime packages, DLLs, and executables.

My experience is that if you compile without doing any changes it always works, but compiling + doing changes + recompiling sometimes fails. It seems obvious that they are saving something from previous compilations and they are doing it wrong. There should be an option to do always a clean compilation. That would be much faster than having to close the IDE and reopen.

Isn't that what Build is for (in contrast to Compile)?

 

AFAIK, these Internal Errors happens because the compiler doesn't clean up properly. I doubt that this can be fixed by just adding an option to do so.
