New quality portal for bugs is open

Recommended Posts

For reporting and viewing your own reports or those specifically shared with you.

The old portal's view of existing reports from other users is no longer there. Guessing Jira doesn't allow that in the cloud version without $$$ fees per user.

but yeah very little on new QP site

Ways to add the old reports to the new system is still discussed internally. The presence of two disjunct systems is sub-optimal, but better than the state before.

Do I get this right, no browsing function yet ? :classic_blink:

Or will this be activated later?

So far, this morning, I could find nothing.

I'm certain the original blog post told us that months of planning went into this..

That doesn't guarantee that it turns out as feasible.

Can see some issues submitted by others now. That makes it at least useable - can check if an issue is already submitted and add comments etc before spending time to create a new issue with a good description and steps to reproduce.

I registered using the same email, but can't browse requests, empty.

@Chief

I had the same issue, but if you go inside in one post, automatically you will be added to enabled group.

Go there for example (taken form another post): https://embt.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/RSS-441

It seems, the only way is to create a ticket, which I would not do just to get access.
I'm sure, they will fix access groups at some point.

I did not create an issue. Account was created yesterday and today I followed a link to an issue as mentioned by DelphiUdIT and was able to read it and then see other reports. Not sure where/why the access group was fixed. They might be running a periodic script or doing manual updates.

I can now see the example QP entry on the new system (given above).

Has anyone figured out how to get a general search to work for existing reports ?

Not being able to find already reported QP's is going to potentially mean lots of duplicates.

Be nice if EMB actually put a post out explaining where there QP system is at and present limitations, what they are working on to improve it (or not).

how to get a general search

Click on Requests, select All, enter your search in the search box, upper left.

@bdw_nz20 Unfortunately, the search is quite rudimentary, compared to the full Jira UI.

Yes I hope it improves with time, just nice to have a means to report issues as its been far too long without.

I quite liked the graphs the old QP has as well to see issues trending up and how many are close etc...that was more a quick glance to see overall whats happening but had no functional use though

The ability to at least filter on Components would be nice so one can focus on areas of interest.

I don't know if that is possible though...

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4384

Knowing Atlassian, If it isn't possible then it'll stay that way.

Yeah, they are not exactly known for responsiveness.
