Silver Black 23 Posted February 14, 2019 Sooooooooo good to know, thanks!I had been looking forward for that! Now, anybody knows if the update can be applied to the CE, please? Share this post Link to post
Silver Black 23 Posted February 14, 2019 Excuse me, I download the update e run the installer, but it asks me to UNINSTAL 10.3 versione first… Is this normal for an UPDATE or have I downloaded a wrong version? Share this post Link to post
Martin Sedgewick 30 Posted February 14, 2019 Yes, this is normal for Rad Studio. 2 Share this post Link to post
Stéphane Wierzbicki 45 Posted February 14, 2019 @Silver Black I guess it is "expected". So many files are envolved, it will takes more time to check and update then deleting everything and installing again. 2 Share this post Link to post
Stéphane Wierzbicki 45 Posted February 14, 2019 From their website Quote If you have already installed 10.3 Rio released in November 2018, installing build 4899 requires a full uninstall and reinstall to preserve your settings. 1 2 Share this post Link to post
Silver Black 23 Posted February 14, 2019 Ok, thank all of you. But all my settings would be preserved? And the add-ins (like IDE FixPack, DDevExtensions, GExperts, etc.) should be re-installed? Do I answer YES or NO to that question about the registry keys? Share this post Link to post
johnnydp 20 Posted February 14, 2019 (edited) New Delphi, old bugs, including serious: I think I’m slowly starting to Understand Delphi Hater's blog... RSP-23466 RSP-23320 + hundreds of others.... I wonder if this will ever happen, to manage this product properly, why do they think that developers needs tons of new usless features instead of making fast and solid current functionality. Stéphane Wierzbicki 45 Posted February 14, 2019 Oops, they managed to put 1000 lines of code into 10. Is this with the new update? 1 Share this post Link to post

Attila Kovacs 629 Posted February 14, 2019 (edited) I remember having seen a similar screenshot back in g+ but I can't recall what was the problem, perhaps the font. Nope, there is no solution in the post Edited February 14, 2019 by Attila Kovacs 1 Share this post Link to post
Ian Branch 127 Posted February 14, 2019 Rather than dive in and install immediately as I did with D10.3, I think I will wait a week and see what the consensus is and any little gotchyas that emerge. Share this post Link to post
Eli M. 38 Posted February 15, 2019 Installed. Went pretty smooth. Inline variables code insight still not fixed. Other than that seems good. Installed the new Navigator plugin from GetIt. 1 Share this post Link to post

Stéphane Wierzbicki 45 Posted February 15, 2019 Well, there is no more possible to disable this stupid theming stuff (from the IDE). I've choose a custom color schema and as you see IDE is not correctly painted... And what to say about all these flikers and time needed to display the new color schema. 1 Share this post Link to post
Markus Kinzler 174 Posted February 15, 2019 This causes problems with the ide; the GetIT-Package-Manager doesn't work without it for instance. Instead of fixing this problems they removed the option to deactivate this "feature". 1 1 Share this post Link to post
mijn 8 Posted February 15, 2019 (edited) Running update from ISO (never use Webinstall) - no query for uninstalling current version - update runs and finishes "successfull" - unable to start Delphi anymore as bds.exe is missing - free space on hard disk + 20 GB although there still seems to be an installation (but size of directory ~5 GB only) - trying to deinstall before leads to errors from installer which then freezes on cancel - trying second run of update does not change anything Any idea ? Thanks ! Edit: Should add that RAD-Studio is installed on D: not on C: Edited February 15, 2019 by mijn 1 Share this post Link to post
Kryvich 165 Posted February 15, 2019 (edited) @mijn Same here. But I saved IDE settings before updating using Migration tool. So I still hope to install Delphi 10.3.1 without reinstalling all components. P.S. I uninstalled Delphi 10.3 and installed Delphi 10.3.1. All components are here. Only IDE Fix Pack had to be reinstalled. Edited February 15, 2019 by Kryvich Share this post Link to post
RonaldK 18 Posted February 15, 2019 What about 64Bit compiler for macOS? Wasn't that scheduled for Rio Service Pack 1? Share this post Link to post
Markus Kinzler 174 Posted February 15, 2019 This was postponed to 10.3.2 (planned) https://www.delphipraxis.net/1425561-post6.html 1 Share this post Link to post
