Unless you actually understand what and why the Windows thread scheduler does it's generally better to leave that stuff alone. It's a classic newbie mistake to think that one can make a thread run faster/better by raising its priority. https://blog.codinghorror.com/thread-priorities-are-evil/

Weekend project - update my "All Versions" VM for the last couple releases. One VM and all versions working again after a brief unexplained Delphi 6 license hiccup.. Removed a few excess VMs so I can have one old-version VM and one that I use daily with the latest-release.

Fixed it. Also added unit tests for this (I could have sworn I already had some. Another faulty thing: My memory.)

To keep you up-to-date, I have modified my code to use OmniXML that is delivered with Delphi 11 (unit Xml.Internal.OmniXML) and to use a record instead of a class for the most used data structure. The net result is a speed increase by a factor of 10 (Ten!) on a large GPX file. If time permit, I will give a try to neslib.xml.
