Yes, it's slow AF.

The german forum too, it must be the server or the hosting.

it's slow sometimes overhere, can not pinpoint it yet.

Most of the time it's ok. but now and then it's slow since a couple of days.

I've seen this problem with other forums too lately. It was caused by thousands of badly written bots and scrappers.

Check your server logs and see how many unregistered guests are crawling all the forum pages.

I noticed it was slow for several days; click "unread" and it would sit there spinning for several seconds. This morning, though, it's fast like normal.

Well, it was fast until I made that comment--now it's slow again; even timed out a couple of times trying to get back to this thread to respond. GAH!

Seems to be happening on and off. These forums are never fast for me - I'm about as far away as I can get from the servers without enduring the ant artic - ping time of 250ms - but pages are taking around 6s to load for the last few days.

I get solid 30ms pings, but still the server sometimes fails to respond, just overloaded in some way, probably by AIs trying to access many years of old messages for the massive wealth of information collected here over the years.

Yes, copying all the information and feed their AI with it. In the near future search engines no longer need to lead people to forums and can answer the questions directly or writing the code they want. So forums and developers will no longer be needed 😢

But I know that the admin is working on it and today it should be a bit better than two days ago.

And where will the AIs get the newer information then?

They will just make it up, as they do already.
